🌸 May at the Clinic 🌸

Lumps, Bumps & Morning Tea

We're joining the Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea!

Come along to our clinic on Thursday, 21st May and enjoy a cuppa while helping raise funds for vital cancer research. All are welcome — humans and their furry friends too! Dogs are welcome to join the fun, and we'll have plenty of pup treats on hand. ☕🐾

🐾 Found a Lump or Bump on Your Pet? Don't Ignore It!

This May, we're shining a light on something really important — knowing when to get that lump or bump on your pet checked out.

Here's the truth: no one can tell you what a lump is just by looking at it or feeling it — not even us! 🔍 That lump could be something completely harmless, or it could be something that needs attention. The only way to know for sure is to test it.

Did you know that 1 in 3 dogs will experience cancer in their lifetime? 🐶 And for dogs over 10 years old, that number rises to nearly 1 in 2. That's why we always say — when in doubt, check it out! 🐾

The great news is that the earlier we catch something, the easier it is to treat. 🌟 Many lumps that are found early can be dealt with quickly and successfully. Waiting and watching can sometimes mean missing a valuable window of time.

If we do need to investigate further, we may take a small sample from the lump — a simple, quick procedure — and examine the cells under a microscope, either here at the clinic or with the help of a specialist laboratory. 🔬

💛 Our May Lump & Bump Offer

  • $50 in-clinic lump/bump assessment — we examine the lump and take a sample to find out what it is
  • $5 donated to the Cancer Council from every lump or bump pathology fee, including external laboratory testing

Don't wait and wonder — let us take a look! 😊
